From 1st April 2022, the UK Governments legislation concerning the use of rebated oils (Red Diesel and Red HVO) changes. At Budget 2020 the government announced that it was removing entitlement to use rebated diesel from most sectors, with exceptions for agriculture, horticulture, fish farming and forestry; Heating and electricity generation in non-commercial premises ; Marine crafts ; Railway vehicles ; Amateur sports clubs and golf courses; Travelling fairs and circuses.
This means that current customers of rebated oils (Gas Oil) including red biodiesel (Red H.V.O.) will need to change over to DERV (white diesel) BEFORE 1st April 2022.
