A specialist fuel additive designed to improve the ‘burn quality’ of
domestic kerosene when used in range-style cookers and boilers and/or
where vaporising burners are being utilised.
Although the Char Value of domestic kerosene (BS2869:C2) has an upper
limit of 20mg/kg. Field experience since 2008, indicates that for
numerous reasons fuel is actually being supplied with Char Values in the
The situation is not improving and is having a serious negative
impact on the performance of range cookers (e.g. AGAs, Rayburns,
Waterford-Stanleys, etc), where carbon build-up around the burner is now
commonplace. This results in variable heat output and poor
controllability. This Permium Cooker Additive acts to reduce the Char Value of
the fuel, improving its combustion performance and maintaining a clean
burner for longer.
Lowers Char value Reduces build up of carbon deposits and soot Inhibits growth of deposits in fuel storage tanks Minimises the potential for fuel tank corrosion Increases the fuel shelf life Reduces service problems
From 1st April 2022, the UK Governments legislation concerning the use of rebated oils (Red Diesel and Red HVO) changes.
At Budget 2020 the government announced that it was removing entitlement to use rebated diesel from most sectors, with exceptions for agriculture, horticulture, fish farming and forestry; Heating and electricity generation in non-commercial premises ; Marine crafts ; Railway vehicles ; Amateur sports clubs and golf courses; Travelling fairs and circuses.
This means that current customers of rebated oils (Gas Oil) including red biodiesel (Red H.V.O.) will need to change over to DERV (white diesel) BEFORE 1st April 2022. This change will significantly increase your fuel costs and affect credit lines.
If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact our Sales team for help.
